Notices and Statements For Parcel

Most Blue Earth County property tax payers receive three important pieces of information in the mail from the Property and Environmental Resources Department. The Tax Statements and Valuation Notices generally arrive in late March and the Truth-in-Taxation (TNT) Notices are mailed in the fall. Once mailed, the county will add copies of the notices for your parcel to this webpage. Tax Statements

The tax statement is the tax bill for property owners. It is based on budget decisions and valuation and classification information determined in the year before the statement. You can pay taxes online. You can view the reverse side of Tax Statement (PDF).

Value Notices

The valuation notice provides information regarding each taxable property’s classification (the actual use of the property), its valuation, and any special program enrollment. The estimated market value is the county’s estimate of what each property would likely sell for. A taxable value is listed as the basis for the actual tax calculation. The value notice is the foundation for the property tax process that will affect your tax bill the following year. TNT Notices

The TNT notices inform property owners of public meetings to discuss proposed property taxes and proposed budgets for the following year.
